My PSP Vomitted Out Its Battery

I heard a loud 'Kaplunk!' noise coming from my study room today where I house my electronic gadgets. I thought my guitars were having a bitchfight about which of them could shred harder. Turns out, my PSP spat its battery out because the juicer got bloated and it had nowhere else to go but out (fly out, I gotta add), since the battery compartment had no room to cater to electronic obesity.

The battery landed a few feet away from the PSP, so imagine the force of it all. Never knew the PSP shared the similarities with a human's digestive system - feeling seriously bloated inside? Vomit it out, then.

The basic general school of thought regarding why batteries bloat is their build up of gases over time which can be caused by a multitude of reasons.

I've had my PSP since around March of 2007 and I haven't touched it since around 2013 or so, because my smartphone with a bigger screen than the PSP's have taken over the task of running my PSP games with the PPSSPP emulator app. That's more than enough time for my PSP's battery to decide to retire and go out with a bang.

Now I'll have to think of a safe way to dispose the old battery properly in such a way that eliminates the possibility of it hurting anyone, since a bulged battery can be dangerous like a mini time bomb, no joke.

Sad to see my PSP this way after all these long 8 and a half years, since I've had a blast with it playing games when I was actively using it. I've even put mpeg movies that I've ripped from legit CDs I own on it, as well as my favourite Playstation one games I converted to PSP-friendly EBOOT format. But being able to hold out for this long is quite solid in its own right.

Watered-Down Dollars & $ense

Either ignoring or taking into account dubious business theories and the mumbo jumbos of economics, you know the human race has become suicidal when it costs more to be healthy.
